The last week in Fort Collins was hectic to say the least and am glad the packing and cleaning is over. Silas and I have been amazed at how blessed we are by our community in Fort Collins. Leaving was bitter sweet to be sure.
The drive through Wyoming and Utah was crazy!! Super icy and windy with far to many semi's crowding the road. The 13 hour day finally ended in Boise, where we exhaled and attempted to unwind. Listening to "The Chronicles of Narnia" drama on cd most of the way was great though and helped the rough parts not seem so scary. Portland was our 3 day pit stop on the way to Seattle. It was so good seeing Kellen and Cecily! Thanks for having us guys!
Seeing my family for the last few days has been so good. It always blows my mind how Emma and Elliot grow so much in such a short time! We went to the aquarium with them this morning and was amazing hearing their comments on the octopus or the seals.
We also went to Handels Messiah today in Seattle. Was incredible. The last bit made me cry. Maybe thats how heaven will be when we enter....and hopefully I will be able to sing like that :)
We ate dinner then played the card game hands and feet with the Ottes which is always competitive and a blast. Made me miss Jules and Jana.
A closing comment is that the constant dreary rain for the past week has reconfirmed for Silas that we will never be moving to the Pacific Northwest.
